Wake up at 3 am I’m in the wrong bed I’m thirty-five minutes from home I get up, I bump my head I’m feeling so dead And so is my phone My wallet’s almost empty How did I spend so much on booze last night And the fact I’m turning twenty Doesn’t make the whole thing seem alright because We all regret things that we do When the lights turn on around half past two The floors empty my mates have gone and left me And I can’t find my way home We all regret things that we do When the lights turn on around half past two The floors empty my mates have gone and left me And I can’t find my way home I can’t stand, so I fell on my hands I wrecked my new vans And I wore too much cologne What was my plan, I’m a sophisticated man And I’m pulling out the brands But I’m going home alone My wallet’s almost empty How did I spend so much on booze last night And the fact I’m turning twenty Doesn’t make the whole thing seem alright because We all regret things that we do When the lights turn on around half past two The floors empty my mates have gone and left me And I can’t find my way home We all regret things that we do When the lights turn on around half past two The floors empty my mates have gone and left me And I can’t find my way home The hard part is We do this every weekday And each day, We say that its okay The things that we say and we do for fun And each night we go out, We show how we blow out And then we get kicked out And we don’t care because We all regret things that we do When the lights turn on around half past two We all regret things that we do When the lights turn on around half past two We all regret things that we do When the lights turn on around half past two We all regret things that we do But for now I’ll just call a cab home

On a deckchair south of Monterrey Pack your cases but you wanna stay There’s a cloud on you When there’s nothing left to do Thursday evening and it’s getting late With my feelings I can hide away It’s the perfect place To put a smile upon your face Playing snakes and ladders with your own emotions Everybody loves you when you’ve got devotion Always there when somebody else needs you You’re falling through your problems with ease Playing snakes and ladders with your own emotions Everybody loves you when you’ve got devotion Always there when somebody else needs you You’re falling through your problems with ease Broken record on Broken record on Broken record on a major note Happy Songs will never make you whole In a world where no one’s home All the colours monochrome Talking softly down the telephone Making plans so you don’t feel alone Like a TV show It’s just another episode There’s a place inside your head Where you can just sit in bed all day And rent cheap movies by the hour Playing snakes and ladders with your own emotions Everybody loves you when you’ve got devotion Always there when somebody else needs you You’re falling through your problems with ease Playing snakes and ladders with your own emotions Everybody loves you when you’ve got devotion Always there when somebody else needs you You’re falling through your problems with ease

I’ve been looking for a man who I could be in my dreams Cos sometimes I don’t wanna be me A selfish way to hide from all the things I do from day to day What a way to spend a Saturday I’ve been looking for a place where I can sit and talk things through Cos sometimes I don’t wanna cry in front of friends like you A upfront fee of fifty maybe sixty pounds a day What a way to spend a Saturday I’ve been having trouble finding why the weather’s much too bright this night I have to squint to see the silver lining And even when I do it always seems to be so grey What a way to spend a Saturday What a way to spend a Saturday What a way to spend a Saturday What a way to spend a Saturday What a way to spend a Saturday

Well the university’s shut down, And the schools they followed suit Soon they shut down coffee shops and the bars and the clubs too and social isolation doesn’t look that great to me home schooled education and the work home quarantine but if we all stick together we can make it out of this okay The artists take to Facebook, Youtube, Instagram for vids Hoping they’ll go viral so they can earn a couple quid Cos no one wants a live show, you’ve got to stay two feet apart You’re streaming them from your iPhone, so that you can do your part And if we all stick together we can make it out of this okay I lost my job on Friday, I can hardly make ends meet And all the idle bartenders just get pissed and smoke and eat And shoppers raiding supermarkets with too much for themselves Mean extra jobs at co-op checking food and stocking shelves but if we all stick together we can make it out of this okay My mate Dave’s a DJ, he’s signing on today Turns out no one’s going out to see people pressing play and global pandemic can bring a country to it’s knees and in these times of panic there’s one thing we all need it’s to all stick together and we can make it out of this okay And so I’ll write a silly song, in a desperate way To somehow take advantage of the problems of today And maybe leave a message telling you to do your part Or at least bring you some happiness with my witty remarks It there’s one last thing that I’m trying to say, Help each other out in the community Just for now remember, till it goes away if we all stick together we can make it out of this okay we can make it out of this okay we can make it through the rainy days we can make it out of this okay
